    My name is Serhiy Kovtun . I was born and raised in Ukraine, and today I live and work in Canada. I have had a disability since I was eight years old and I know very well what limitations, misunderstandings and moments when support was really needed are. That is why the topic of helping children with disabilities is not just charity for me. It is a part of my future life and my personal story.
I understand very well how hard it is for a child when he cannot live like other children. When instead of a carefree childhood there are doctors, treatment, rehabilitation, pain and struggle for every small step forward. I also understand how hard it is for parents who are looking for strength, money and opportunities every day to help their child. This is what inspired me to create the charity project Hope for Disabled Children of Ukraine - to support children with disabilities in Ukraine and their families with my partners. My goal is to help those who need treatment, rehabilitation, special equipment, humanitarian support and just human attention. I not only call on others to help, but I also regularly direct part of my salary to support children with disabilities. I believe that help is not only about money. It is about caring. About humanity. About the desire to extend a hand to a child who really needs support. Every donation is not just an amount. This is a chance for a child to undergo rehabilitation, receive the necessary help, take a step towards a better life, and feel that they are not left alone.
I can't change the whole world at once. But I believe that together we can change the world for at least one child. And for that child, it can mean everything.
